Dr. Figazolo - in private practice for 24 years in Massachusetts, is now located in California. Graduated from the New England College of Optometry with honors in 1978, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree. While in Boston he completed clinical rotations in Low Vision at the prestigious Gunderson Eye Clinic of Boston University Medical Center, and Cotting School for the Blind.

Dr. Figazolo is also Board Certified in Contact Lenses by the National Eye Research Foundation , and is a fellow of the International Orthokeratology Society as well. He has participated in numerous FDA clinical investigational studies of contact lenses and solutions, and is still an active investigator of new and advanced contact lenses. He has lectured both nationally and internationally during the past 23 years, and has published several articles in respected clinical journals in subnormal vision and contact lenses.

Presently, Dr. Figazolo is one of only a few eye care providers, who are certified to perform a recently FDA approved method of non-surgical eye improvement called CRT, or Corneal Refractive Therapy. This procedure is especially beneficial for patients who have been previous contact lens failures, and also for children who are showing signs of advancing myopia, and those who are considering refractive surgery.
